We are almost at the end of 2010. Can you believe it? Me neither! Where did the time go this year! It seemed to just fly by!
This year I signed up for two reading challenges. The first was J. Kaye’s Book Blog 100+ Reading Challenge. The challenge was to read 100+ books in 2010. Did I meet the challenge? Well no. I am happy to say that I read 59 books! Even though I did not meet the goal of 100+ books and (in all honesty I probably did meet that goal since I did not count picture books in my challenge and I read several books each day to the boys)I love to read and don’t read nearly enough and compared to the 2009 reading challenge, I have read 50 more books in 2010 than 2009! I am pleased with my results!
I will be joining this challenge again in 2011 and I think this time I will keep track of all books I read.
I also participated in the Support Your Local Library reading challenge. We are big library supporters here. We usually visit the library once a week. Out of the 59 books I read, 31 were from the library. If this challenge is done again in 2011, I will keep track of all our library books since 31 is just the tip of the ice berg so to speak. We borrow at least that many in one trip to the library! It will be fun to see what our total is by the end of 2011!
I truly love to read. It is one of my favorite things to do. Right now I have a huge pile of books waiting for me on my night stand. My goal for 2011 is to read twice as much as I read in 2010. Here are a few of my favorites from 2010.
