Earlier this year the boys and I started to study Lewis & Clark. We ended up on a rabbit trail from that study and never got back to our topic. I put everything away and decided we would continue on our adventure with Lewis & Clark after the holidays. I am so glad we are waiting! This new Lewis & Clark Download N Go will surely be a great addition to our studies!

On this particular adventure we are going to learn about many exciting things about the westward expansion of our country. For example you will learn about the president of that time period, mapping skills, geography, a breed of dog, vocabulary, teamwork, journaling, cooking, Native Americans, boats, various types of animals, science and so much more that I have not mentioned! This unit is really packed with a wealth of information and learning opportunities.
Once again there is an awesome book list to use along with this study. There are some very good titles listed. A couple that we have read and loved. There are a minimum of 5 books listed per day. You do not have use all of these titles, you can pick and choose which ones you would like to use. I have not had any problems finding at least a couple of the books listed for each day. In all honestly you can do this study completely without the books listed but I think that adding at least a couple of the books just lends to a richer learning experience.
In addition to the unit itself there is a wonderful lapbook that accompanies this study. There are 25 pages included in this lapbook with colorful and fun graphics. You can do them all or pick and choose the ones you really want to do.

You won’t be disappointed with the Lewis & Clark Download N Go. It is available in the The Old Schoolhouse store. It is a wonderful resource for learning. You can do the entire unit in five days or stretch it out and go a little longer at your own pace. There are many internet links and additional suggestions that can definitely take you beyond that five days. I would venture to say that there is enough here to last two weeks if you so choose.
