Swagbucks

We have to stretch our money these days, actually I guess most of us do, right? Do you have to watch where every penny goes? Do you wish you had a little extra here and there to buy something you otherwise may not. Maybe you are even saving for something you really need.  If you are looking for a way to have a little extra maybe this will work for you.

I earn gift cards by searching the web using Swagbucks.

 Swagbucks is a search engine powered by google and ask.com  that you can use to earn points. When you search using their search box or toolbar  (you can download the toolbar right  to your computer) you earn points.  When you have earned enough points you can redeem them for prizes. For example a $5 Amazon card is 450 points. You can earn 10+ points per search. The points are random and you never know when are going to get them. I will say that I earn points daily, sometimes I earn 10 points sometimes more. 

You can redeem your points for gift cards to places like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Red Envelope, Resturant.com, Paypal, Target, Lowe’s, Disney, Apple, JC Penny and much more. These are  just what is available in the gift card section. There are also other prizes you can redeem your points for, apparel, books, movies and TV and much more.

Other ways you can earn points with Swagbucks you can shop through their site or you can fill out the special offers  and also earn Swagbucks. 

If you download the Swagbucks toolbar you will be able to search directly from the toolbar and also will be awarded random points just for using the toolbar.

Since I have been using Swagbucks I have earned $175 in Amazon gift cards (that is 35 five dollar gift cards) $20 in Barnes and Noble gift cards, one Alice.com gift card, 2 movie passes and $20 to paypal.  I currently am waiting for 5 additional Amazon $5 cards and a $10 Barnes and Noble card. A couple of days ago I used my Amazon cards to purchase a new camera lens for my Canon Rebel.

You can also earn additional points by getting referrals. If someone signs up for Swagbucks using your referral link when they earn points you will also earn points up to 1000 points. So yes if you sign up using any of the links in this post I will earn points as well.   If you sign up for Swagbucks you will receive 30 swagbucks to start you off!

I have been a member for about a year now and have been very happy with them. They never send any spam either. I generally choose Amazon cards and what I like about that is you can save all of your Amazon cards in your Amazon account until you are ready to spend them.
