In our home we love books. We have several book cases of books~currently we have five that are full to overflowing. We read daily. We are always on the look out for quality books. Have you purchased a new book recently? Well they are not cheap!
If you are regular reader of my blog you know that we are big library supporters. Sometimes though I cannot find what I want at our local library nor at the other 10+ libraries that are connected with ours. It can be very frustrating. Especially when I want a particular book and I find it is not available. Before I go out and pay full price for a new book I try to find it used.
One of my favorite places to look first is Homeschool Library Builder, a Christian family-run book business dedicated to providing great literature at affordable prices. The owners of Homeschool Library Builder are Julie Huffman and Gayla Weatherford are homeschool mom’s themselves and two of the sweetest ladies.
Homeschool Library Builder has quite a variety of books available. They offer quality books that are in excellent used condition and out of print books to many books that are brand new remainder books.
They offer books by some of the popular homeschooling curriculum: Five in a Row, Sonlight, Beautiful Feet, Veritas Press, Tapestry of Grace, Ambleside Online, and others. One of the features I like is they have a search by curriculum page that allows you to search for books for the particular curriculum you are using.
You can become a member for free. Why become a member? They have a book points membership rewards program where you earn points for the books you purchase. For every dollar you spend you earn one point. When you reach 15 points you earn one dollar. The more books you buy the more points you earn. So you are saving money on books (their prices are great!) and you are earning more points on future books!
What we thought: I have been a member of Homeschool Library Builder for a couple of years now and I love them. Every single book I have purchased has been in either new or excellent used condition. I have never received a book that was in less than great condition. I have earned book points I have used to earn additional books. They have great sales. Their customer service is fantastic.
Now I cannot promise you that they will always have what you are looking for but they have a wonderful selection and if you check back often you just might find what you are looking for and save a bit of money at the same time.
