For this edition of our Smelly Science class we made perfume. It was really fun to do and our results surprised us. We we chose two different types of roses and one of our peonies.

Justin chose the red and white rose
Kaden chose the pink rose. We added the petals to some warm water.
We mixed them for several minutes 
next we strained the flower petals from the water.
then we smelled the water
We also smelled the petals to see if they still had any fragrance. They did but not as strong as when we started

finally we compared the three perfumes to see which was the strongest.
Any guesses? We thought for sure the peonies would be the strongest because they had the strongest scent to begin with. We were wrong, the roses were stronger and it was hard to tell which had the strongest scent. Another fun experiment!

Hey, Michelle! I know it’s kinda late, but your post is really great! Well, that was really a fun experiment. And if you take it seriously, this fun experiment can be a good start to put up a perfume business. You know, it’s one of the fast-growing businesses today. So, it would be better to strike while the iron is hot!
