I wish I could do this! Unfortunately I could not do it without using a credit card so even at 75% off it would not be a good deal for me. But what a great way to save! What an inspiration. Right now for me it is baby steps. I would like to one day be able to have the cash to do this. If you are not reading Money Saving Methods you are missing out!

Michele, I do see the sense in this, but it seems to take some of the fun out of Christmas shopping. I would like to be done before 12/24 however, which is when I usually finish.
Thanks so much for the link back. I so appreciate it.
And, I definitely agree with your post.
Baby steps is the way. Sale shopping is not worth it if you have to take debt out to buy a sale item.
In all actuality, I only seem to hit this sale about every 2 years.
But, I keep my list with me all year long. And, since I sale shop at least one day a week, I almost always mark someone off my list every few weeks...and then you are only shelling out approx $5 to $12 for a gift. That is much more doable on a tight budget.
Well, that is if you are buying approx. $25 - $50 gifts.
If you can spread it out over the year that way, it becomes doable and the savings to your family comes out to be the same.
And, in regards to the fun at Christmas. We do leave extra money in the budget for the kids.
They always have some specific toys that Santa brings. So, we want to make sure we get them some things from their actual Christmas list. :-)
Looking forward to reading more frugal tips!
