Well part of it anyway! This morning before the boys got up I put this little art center together.
I got the idea from here at The Crafty Crow. If you haven't visited, you really should there are a ton of way cool ideas there. Did I just say way cool? I can't help myself, it is a way cool blog! I am so tired of having to get the boys crayons, markers and such each time they ask. It is a pain to drag it all out. We had our crayons in a huge tub, Justin could never find the color he wanted because we had so many. We were both frustrated. This is the solution to our problem. I can put it in the center of our table. Each of the boys can reach it and spin it to find whatever they are needing.
It was simple to make. I just took a lazy susan that I found for $1 at the thrift store, a piece of 10 x 10 scrapbook paper, scissors and some self adhesive laminating paper.
I traced around one of our dinner plates that was the exact size of the inside of the lazy susan. Cut it out and laminated both sides and just placed it into the base and walla from drab tan to cool circles. The containers are canning jars, from the thrift store. I love the thrift store! Add whatever markers, pencils, colored pencils, crayons that you want and you have a spinning art center. I added chunky crayons for Kaden as well as regular and glitter crayons and twistables crayons. I was going to add scissors, but hey I am not stupid! I do have a three year old ya know!

we have a plastic lazy susan similar to this one but it is a two level. It sits in the middle of the table with our stuff on it. This is just the thing to spruce it up! Thanks for the idea!! Going now to visit the Craft Crow
