Tired of Library Late Fees?

Do you use the library frequently? Being a homeschooling family we are there at least once a week sometimes twice, although we try to limit it to once a week.
We have had anywhere from 25 to 70 books out at a time.
One rule I made early on for our library books is that all library books go on one shelf in our home. We call it our library shelf. This system has worked pretty well and Justin is good at putting them back when he is done with them. Once in a while we do have a book that goes astray on us.
Still there was the problem of getting them back on time to avoid late fees and the shelf didn't solve the problem of getting them back in time. Not all of our books are due back on the same day, because we ususlly will borrow some each week, so it was hard keeping track even with our library's online services.
I don't know how your library works, but I can go online and renew our books, as long as they are not at their limit or overdue. The problem is if I forget, the online system will lock me out of renewing even if there is one late book!
One day I was reading on the Five In A Row board and someone had mentioned Library Elf. What an amazing tool! I can set it to let me know several days ahead when our books are due. It notifies me, usually before our library does when books I have requested thru inter library loan are in. It has been a lifesaver and best of all, no more late fees!!! It is worth your time to check it out! Oh and it is FREE! I love FREE!

I'm beyond help or hope. It's a GREAT idea, but my reminder would come, and I'd tell myself...oh, I have a few days...and then I'd still be late! LOL
